It's a Monday in April and we're thinking it's that time of year when inspiration is hard to come by---so we want to help! This week we have a variety of blog posts for you that will help you regain inspiration for your wedding planning and your life! We hope you love them just as much as we love YOU!
First up is a DIY spring floral arrangement. What you'll need:
Here's what you need to do:
Step One: Go to a flower shop (or a whole foods) and pick out your flowers and greens. Most are sold in bunches of threes-sixes. If you're looking to save a little bit of money, roses are currently the most expensive.
Step Two: Clear a workspace. You'll want a clean place and mind to do your art.
Step Three: Separate your flowers. Then, cut the stems to the length you would like them--measure your vase or decide how long you want it to be if it will be a bouquet. Also cut off any excess leaves.
First up is a DIY spring floral arrangement. What you'll need:
- 3-4 different kinds and colours of flowers + greens (you can find these sold in individual bunches at any flower shop)
- Scissors
- A vase (if this is not a bouquet)
- One piece of ribbon in any colour of your choice
- An elastic band (more than one is good)
- Creativity!

Step Four: Arrange your flowers--practice and play around before you tie them together
Step Five: Once you love what you see, go ahead and put your elastic bands on it to keep it looking beautiful! Then, tie a bow around your sweet bouquet for an extra touch.
Step Six: Get your vases ready. Make sure they are well cleaned and have water in them so your flowers stay happy and healthy. Put a penny in the bottom to keep your flowers even healthier. Put your flowers in, set them on your coffee table, and voila!
Step Seven: I bet you thought we were done. But...What to do with all of your extra flowers (because you will have extra flowers)? We pulled out anything and everything from our kitchen cupboards (iced tea pitchers, more mason jars, etc.) to make a second floral arrangement for our dining table. We took some extra flowers, cut them to the length we desired and placed individual flowers in a variety of jars and glasses instead of making one large arrangement. And we loved it!
Our beautiful flowers have been brightening up this apartment for a week now and are still blooming strong! It really is so easy to design your own floral arrangements and there are so many different colour and flower combos to do that it never gets old. We will definitely be showing you some more unique alternatives in the future so that you can build your flower knowledge and skill and make the right decision for your wedding flowers (or even do your own wedding flowers!!!!!)
Enjoy your Monday!
